Erasmus+ meeting in Bremerhaven
Simon Rodig - 2022-04-30
Droughts, floods and other extreme weather events are occurring across the globe. These issues cannot be solved on a local scale anymore and are issues of global importance. In the international collaboration of Erasmus+ we hope to contribute our part to the fight against the global climate crisis.
After we as an international association from five European schools could only communicate digitally before due to the corona pandemic, our first real meeting finally took place in Bremerhaven from 28th February to 4th March. As you can also see from the blog articles from this period, the delayed kick-off meeting was partly to finally get to know each other, but also to start and continue working on our mission. Since we had the opportunity to visit museums like the climate house or to get into conversation with experts in Bremerhaven, we were able to learn, deepen our understanding of the climate crisis and connections stretching across in different fields of research.
We also worked on our main goal – the concept and design for an app motivating people to take a look at their personal impact and tried to translate the input we have got into ideas for the app. Therefore, we worked on ideas for a creative design, components that motivate the users and tools that have an actual impact on people's lives. Moreover, we took a look at our own behaviour in turn and inspired each other by having exciting conversations with each other.
Now we are looking forward to the future full of energy for the realization of our ideas and also for the next meeting of this kind in Portugal.
