Day 1 - Arriving in the UK

On Monday 24th of April, the students from Spain arrived in England to start the last exchange from the Erasmus + project, “Let’s science our Environment”.

We took the plane at 7.25 a.m (Spanish time)  and arrived at 8:40 a.m. (English time). When we were at the airport, we had to pass Customs, and then we picked up our luggage to go to a hotel to leave it in the left luggage room, so we could visit London city easier.

During the day we saw many emblematic places like St Paul’s Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge, and we saw the outside of Shakespeare's Globe. Then at noon we went to Covent Garden, and we ate there, we also ate some ice cream :)

After Covent Garden we saw the Lego and M&M’s stores at Leicester Square, where we bought some chocolate. We also saw lots of streets from Chinatown, they had such incredible decorations! 

Then we went to Trafalgar Square, and we took some pictures together, and finally before returning to the hotel to pick up our luggage we went to St Martin-in-the Fields and into the Café in the Crypt.

After that, we went to the hotel to pick up our luggage and go to the restaurant to get dinner with our mates from the Erasmus project. It was so nice to see our international friends again! We went to a restaurant called “Toby Carvery”, and we ate Yorkshire pudding with a variety of meat, roast beef, turkey and pulled pork. It was delicious!

To finish the day, we went to the hotel we were staying at in Romford. We went walking with the luggage, and it was raining… after such a busy day, it felt so good to finally get to our rooms.
